In 1996, CAST Alimenti (Centre for the Art, Science and Technology of Food) was founded in Brescia thanks to the creative figure of Iginio Massari. Through development and constant contact with the most important Italian and foreign players, the training institute has set the standard for professional training in the areas of pastry making, cuisine, ice cream making and cooking in a broad sense.

Hausbrandt has supported this prestigious association as a technical sponsor. Sharing the same philosophy of quality and excellence, Hausbrandt and Castalimenti collaborate to provide Italian pastry artists with training and quality products.

Today, Castalimenti is a promoter, partner, and headquarters for training and selecting the Italian teams that participate in international pastry, ice cream, cooking and bread-making competitions.

But this is not all – Castalimenti is also the headquarters of the Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani (Italian Academy of Master Pastry Chefs), the Unione Maestri Gelatieri, the Richemont Club and various enogastronomic associations.

Iginio MassariCreator and member of CAST Alimenti, as well as its Honorary President, Iginio Massari is the Master Pastry Chef at the Italian Academy of Master Pastry Makers and has won more than 300 competitions, awards and national and international recognitions since 1964. Massari collaborates with Hausbrandt in the research and creation of new products and has put his signature on the Italian Christmas dessert par excellence – Panettone.
